Heritage Christian School offers its students a hot lunch five times a week (Monday-Friday). The menu varies (i.e., cheeseburgers, pizza, soup, chicken nuggets, etc.) and the cost is $2.25 per lunch. Milk, dessert, and other items are available daily at an additional cost.
Parents do not need to purchase lunches in advance. Students may purchase hot lunch any day of the week with cash or by charging it to their parents’ tuition accounts. Future menus will be included in the Parents Informed newsletter (P.I.), and classroom teachers will take a lunch count each morning to determine how many students will purchase lunch that day.
As the students move through the serving line, they can either pay cash for lunch or use a “Hot Lunch Charge Ticket.” The Hot Lunch Charge Ticket serves to notify the school that parents give their child permission to charge lunch that day on their tuition account. The tickets do not have value and do not have to be purchased. They simply serve as permission for children to charge lunch on their parents’ accounts. Of course, lunch charges will appear on parents’ monthly tuition statements like any other charge.
